Our AI Review engine just got a major structural and performance boost.

  • ⚙️ Improved backend logic for faster processing and more stable results.

  • 🧠 Added internal tracking so we can instantly identify whether a project has already been AI-reviewed — no unnecessary reprocessing.

  • 🪫 When screenshots fail to load or time out, BugSmash now shows an AI error message with a “Retry” option, instead of marking the project as failed.

  • 🧩 All this means: smarter caching, less waiting, and a more dependable AI experience.

📬 Sleeker, More Polished Emails

Your inbox just got a design refresh. New email notification layouts make collaboration updates cleaner, easier to read, and branded to feel truly BugSmash.

🗓️ October 1st 2025

This release focuses on making the BugSmash Extension smoother, faster, and more capable, while also tightening up the PDF review flow and pricing structure.

🧩 Extension Upgrades — More Capable Than Ever

Your favorite BugSmash Extension just got smarter, simpler, and way more reliable:

  • 🎥 Screen Recording → Video Upload

    • You can now record your screen and upload it directly as a video project.

    • BugSmash automatically names your video using the active browser tab title (no more “upload.mp4”).

    • 🎧 Bonus: Added external audio support — so your mic and system audio can both be captured.

  • 🔄 Auto Project Creation

    • Didn’t select a project before sharing? No problem — BugSmash now auto-creates a project using your tab title.
  • 🔑 One-Login Fix

    • We fixed the annoying bug that made the extension repeatedly ask for login while switching tabs.

    • Once you’re logged in, you’re truly logged in across all tabs.

  • 🧼 Visual Bug Fixes

    • Fixed issue where the login button overlapped with project names, causing a full-screen blur.

    • Fixed image loading issue where screenshots wouldn’t appear in some captured projects.

📄 Platform Improvements
  • PDF Upload Engine Rebuilt

    • We’ve changed how PDFs are processed — now uploaded without converting into images which used to cause a difference in image colors.

    • This means sharper rendering, faster load times, and smaller storage footprint.

    • All older projects remain fully supported.

  • 🧾 Versioning Fixes for PDFs

    • Resolved multiple issues when adding new versions of PDFs — version previews and pages now render consistently.
💰 Pricing Updates

We’ve refined our pricing to make plans more transparent and rewarding for teams:

Starter: $15/mo | $10/mo billed annually (Save $60)
Teams: $60/mo | $40/mo billed annually (Save $240)
Enterprise: Custom ($300/mo base)

That’s a 33.3% discount for annual users — because commitment deserves value.
